We 3D scanned three real shachihoko of Himeji castle, one of the word heritage sites in Japan, and completely reproduced even the scratches on the tail by the data and the lost wax precision casting technology. The three types of shachihoko were named after some names of era in Japan, “Meiji”, “Showa” and “Heisei”.
